1. Where are you from?
I was born in Mountain View and I was raised in San Jose. I currently reside in Gilroy, California..
2. How long have you been with ADPP?
It will be 11 years this February.
3. What is your teaching background and experience?
I started at Action Day at the Lincoln location right after graduating from college with a degree in Child Development from San Jose State University in 2001. I began teaching in the 2 ½ -3’s classroom and I also started working in the office as well. In 2003, I transferred to the Pruneridge site and I have remained there since. I have been teaching in just about all the classrooms but mainly in the older toddler room for about 8 years.

What do you like most about your job?
I like to see the children’s eyes light up with excitement as they’re dropped off at school each morning. They are eagerly anticipating all the fun activities that all the teachers have planned for them.

What do you think is special about your ADPP location?
I like that we’re small and have a familial type atmosphere at our location. Everyone really does get to know one another at some point in time.

What is your favorite part of the day at ADPP?
My favorite part of the day is the morning when all the children greet me with their smiling faces and hearing my name pronounced in its many forms. I also enjoy picking my own daughter up from the Moorpark location each evening of course!

What is the last book you read out loud?
I just read Good Night Moon to my daughter.

What is the last book you read to yourself?
I read The Hunger Games Series because I love Sci-Fi!

What do you do in your spare time?
I love to read, watch movies and spend time with my family!
10. What achievement are you most proud of?
I am most proud of graduating from college plus having and raising a beautiful little person.
11. What should children look forward to doing/learning in the 2 ½-3 yr classrooms?
Children should look forward to learning how to be more independent and self sufficient
plus just having a lot of fun!

What is the single best piece of advice you can give to parents of 2 ½- 3yr olds?
When it comes to potty training, the most important thing to remember is be consistent as possible and it will happen when the children are ready for it to happen.
