1. Where are you from?
I was born in the Philippines but I was raised in San Jose.
2. What are your responsibilities at
ADPP?
I am the new Director at the Coventry School on Campbell Avenue. I direct
both the preschool and infant sides. It has been a wonderful and challenging
experience to come to a school where I am the new one! However, I love being
able to head all the age groups and am excited that next year we will be
having Kindergarten as well. I'm hoping to expand the school all the way to
3rd grade. The school had those grades many years ago.
3. How long have you been with ADNPP?
I have been with Action Day Primary Plus for 4 years now and it has been a
great experience. I have learned so much and I know there is yet so much to
learn.
4. What is your teaching background and experience?
I have been working with children for ten years. I have my AA in Early
Childhood Education, a BA in Liberal Studies/Elementary Education and a
Minor in Human Development.
5. What do you like most about your job?
I like getting to know all the families!
6. What do you think is special about your ADNPP
location?
Such great bones! The location has been around for 20 years and I'm hoping
to make it even better and bigger than what it is! We have large classrooms
that give the children plenty of room for learning and growing. The staff
are dedicated and hard working.
7. What is your favorite part of the day
at ADNPP?
My favorite part is when the children give me hugs as I’m walking around.
8. What is the last book you read out loud?
The last book I read aloud was the Incredibles to my son, Will.
9. What is the last book you read to
yourself?
I read Wicked by Gregory Maguire.
10. What do you do in your spare time?
I love to scrapbook and shop!
11. What achievement are you most proud of?
The my greatest achievement are my 3 children, Kiely, Will, and Myla. It is
wonderful to watch them grow into great people. And I'm also proud of my
college degree and hope to go back to finish my Masters.
12. What is the single best piece of
advice you can give parents?
Show your child that you love them. Actions speak louder than words.
