1. Where are you from?
I was born and raised in San Jose, California.
2. How long have you been with ADPP?
I have worked for ADPP for 26 years.
3. What is your childcare/teaching background and
experience?
I have taught pre-school for 33 years. I have been an Assistant Director for
16 years.

What do you like most about your job?
I like everything – all the hugs and compliments. I also like the field trip
to the pumpkin patch in October.

What do you think is special about your ADPP location?
We have the cutest school in the land. The staff makes our school the most
special place to work at.

What is your favorite part of the day at ADPP?
I love art and decorating my classroom with all the children’s things.
7. What is the last book you read out loud?
Dog & Bear, by Laura Vaccaro Seeger.
8. What is the funniest thing a child has said/done in
your class?
The phone started to ring during circle time. It rang about three times and
a little boy in the class stood up and said, “Ms. Alice, can you get that
phone?”
9. What do you do in your spare time?
I love going to Lake Tahoe and spending time with my grandson Nicholas.

What achievement are you most proud of?
I am most proud of becoming a grandma.
11. What is the single best piece of advice you can give
parents?
Children need a lot of love and encouragement as they continue to learn new
things. Praise and understanding help children to develop the self-esteem
needed to be confident and successful in life.
