1. Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Los Gatos, CA.

2. How long have you been with ADPP?
I have worked for ADPP since March 12, 2000. They have been the best seven years of my teaching career. I also attended ADPP as an After School Student.

3. What is your childcare background and experience?
I have taught 2 years through Pre-K over the last 16 years. I have transitioned into the office at University. However, I spend all my free moments with the children. I am still a teacher at heart.

4. What do you like most about your job?
There are so many aspects that it is hard to pinpoint just one. I get so much enjoyment from the quirky things our students say, and from being chosen by children who need a hug as they transition away from their parent in the morning. I love my fabulous staff. It is possible that I most enjoy leading a very loud round of my favorite song 'We are the dinosaurs stomping…'

5. What do you think is special about your ADPP location?
Our staff makes our school the most special. There are nine of us in all. I can say that each of us is happy to be here and it shows in our daily interactions. In addition to our staff, our school is the cutest in all the land. We are the smallest of all ADPP locations, we have four classrooms each with its own theme and personality, and our restroom is hand painted like a farm.

6. What is your favorite part of the day at ADPP?
My favorite part of the day is indoor activity time. From my office I hear a variety of songs, giggles, circle time activity and messy art project squeals. I know that everyone is involved and learning through a fun activity.

7. What is the last book you read out loud?
"Too Many Frogs" by Sandy Asher.

8. What is the last book you read to yourself?
The magazine called Family Fun, the July issue has great 4th of July hat patterns.

9. What is the funniest thing a child has said/done in your class?
A child asked me if she could come inside and change her shoes. They had sand in them and she said, 'my little feetsies are killin me.'

10. What do you do in your spare time?
I like to knit scarves. They have to be very fluffy and 'kitty' soft.

11. What achievement are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my children, Scoty and Carlee. Scoty is 10 ˝ and he has received Student of the Month or a Life Skill Award each year of elementary school. He will be attending 5th grade at ADPP's West Valley Middle School this fall. If you ask him, he owes it all to ADPP and can't wait to be old enough to apply for a job here. Carlee is 3 ˝ and very playful and loving. She wrote her name this week. Se will be attending Pre-K at the El Quito location this fall.

12. What is the single best piece of advice you can give parents?
Say what you mean and mean what you say.
