Goals for the School Year:

The classroom is primarily a place for learning, so all of our energies will be directed toward that goal. It is my desire to be involved with my students in their learning process, to help them see how it is related to their world, and to provide instruction that will encourage a creative climate, develop good study skills and promote critical thinking.

Homework Expectations and Procedures

Homework will be assigned Monday thru Thursday and occasionally on Friday. I believe that as a team we can contribute to the academic success of each student. I expect homework to be turned in complete, in pencil, legible and on time. Approximately 15% of the grade will be based on a Math Log Book (daily journal), 15% will be based on in-class work, participation and projects. Tests and quizzes will account for approximately 30% and the remaining 40% will be on daily homework.

Homework is given as a practice or reinforcement to subjects covered in class. The homework will be displayed here and on the board in my room. Homework will be graded daily, therefore, it is necessary that the student completes and turn in his/her homework at the beginning of each class day.
